Dormitory Option
We are moving to Spring Hall! Spring Hall is Saint Louis University's newest dorm building. This option is best for graduate students and those on a stricter budget. Single rooms (private sink in room with shared bathroom with one other room) are available. The building features several commons areas, key-card entry, temperature controls in each room, a chapel, and free laundry facilities. You can book this housing option as part of registration and name a preferred suite-mate if you have one. Cost = $75/night.
Official Conference Hotel The Element For those looking for a more elegant experience, SMRS reserves a block of rooms at The Element Hotel - Midtown St. Louis. It is within easy walking distance of conference venues. Enjoy complimentary breakfast, a pool, and a rooftop bar. Reservations for symposium participants are available directly from the hotel. Conference rate = $159 + tax. Use the button to the left, under the picture, to book. Exercise Facility All attendees are welcome to exercise using the on-campus facilities at the Simon Recreation Center for a $10/visit fee. Just show your SMRS badge to gain entry. |

- The Angad Arts Hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from campus and provides a taste of the artistic side of St. Louis. Located in the historic arts district, this boutique hotel offers a unique experience situated among the hotel’s rotating curated art galleries, with easy access to local restaurants, museums, music venues, and the theater.
- Several options in the City West neighborhood are available for a range of prices and require a short commute (between 15 and 20 minutes) by local transport. These hotels are situated near the new CityPark soccer stadium, the historic Union Station, a selection of restaurants and bars, and a stretch of green space including the Aloe Plaza, Memorial Plaza, and several parks. These hotels include the Pear Tree Inn St. Louis Near Union Station, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott St. Louis Downtown, St. Louis Union Station Hotel - Curio Collection by Hilton, Drury Inn St. Louis At Union Station, and Home2 Suites By Hilton St. Louis Downtown. To travel between these hotels and SLU’s campus, guests will need to walk a few minutes to a nearby bus stop on Olive Street (Stop ID 2607, 2608, or 7651) to take bus #10 Gravois-Lindell. This bus will take them down the street to SLU’s campus where conference attendees will get off at Lindell @ Spring Ave. This bus runs every day between 4am and 1am, and picks up at this stop every 30 minutes.
- Near Forest Park and located in the lively Central West End of St. Louis sit several other hotel options. The affordable Holiday Inn Express St Louis - Central West End, the AC Hotel by Marriott St. Louis Central West End, and the luxurious Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza St. Louis offer a range of accommodations and experiences. Public transportation to SLU will take 15 to 20 minutes.
