Individual papers are expected to be 20 minutes in length. You should submit a title and abstract of no more than 250 words. Session proposals have much more latitude regarding paper times and structure. Note: All sessions, round-tables, or seminars are required to have participants from at least two or more institutions.
Select the appropriate button below for your submission. Please be careful only to submit each proposal once and to the specific conference in which you are submitting. As a reminder, our policy for presenting more than one paper is as follows: Most scholars present one paper but are permitted additionally to participate in panel discussions. As far as formal, separate papers, scholars are limited to one paper in the main SMRS plus one paper in a mini-conference, if they wish to participate in both.
All submissions are centralized and are made through the SMRS website. Mini-conference organizers evaluate proposals specific to their mini-conferences.
